The aim of this research was study of consumption and awareness from side effects of doping drugs and weight loss drugs at nonprofessional athletes in Tehran fitness clubs. The research method was descriptive and data collection was done by researcher made questionnaire that its validity approved by 14 sport management experts and its reliability was measured by Cronbach's alpha (0.79). Statistical population included all nonprofessional athletes in Tehran fitness clubs. (n=1482). The results of data analyses indicate that steroids are used currently by 42.5% of the men And the amount of anabolic steroids, hormones, stimulants, and narcotic drugs consumption in men are more than women. Prevalence of fat burning drugs and slimming pills in women are more than men and in 38.3% of women Fat Burner drugs had used at least once. Awareness about the side effects of stimulant drugs, fat burning drugs, slimming pills and hormones, was low. But awareness about the side effects of steroids and narcotics drugs was high.
