In recent years, Iran schools have been equipped with outdoor fitness equipment in order to insure health and develop physical activities of students. But this equipment is often copied from foreign brands. Theaim of this study was to examine the adaptation of ergonomic specifications of outdoor fitness equipment (Heeger brand) to anthropometric characteristics of female student users in Tehran high schools. The research method was comparative. The sample consisted of 100 high school female students who were selected from Tehran student population and three equipment including step forward, step sideways and standing rotator (Heeger brand) which were selected from more than 35 outdoor fitness equipment. Mean and percentiles of 5, 50, and 95, and standard deviation of anthropometric characteristics were compared with ergonomic specifications of selected outdoor equipment using one-sample two-way t test at significance level of 0.05. Static anthropometric kit, a stadiometer and SPSS software were used in this study. Results showed that the above equipment at schools was not appropriate for anthropometric measures of female students.
