Identifying the driving forces of the future study of income generation of Premier League football clubs (case study: Mobarake Steel Club of Sepahan)

Abstract

Clubs are the most important part of the football industry and the survival of the football industry depends on the survival of the clubs. The purpose of this research was to identify the drivers of the future study of Sepahan club's revenue generation. In terms of purpose, the research is applied and its method is descriptive-analytical and explanatory based on future research methods. The studied community of this research was composed of sports marketing professors, CEO and officials of Sepahan club and league organization. These people were selected purposefully and their number was equal to 20 people. In order to identify issues affecting the future of Sepahan Club, a review of research literature and interviews with experts were used, and based on that, 25 final components were identified. The obtained results showed that 24 factors are effective components in the future of Sepahan club's income generation. Based on the findings of the research, the four variables of television broadcast rights, contracts with commercial partners, approval of the copyright law and professional club management are among the key drivers of Sepahan club's income generation in the future; therefore, it is necessary to use them in future planning and determination of possible future scenarios.
