Abstract
Global sports organizations have important political capabilities and sports ethics should be defined based on civic and national values to play a positive role in today's ethics. The aim of the present research was to identify indicators and effects of professional ethics on the staff of the Ministry of sports and youth.The present study, from a paradigmatic perspective, falls within the realm of interpretive research, adopting a qualitative approach and employing a thematic analysis strategy with the tactic of latent content analysis. The participants included experts and specialists in the field of sports management as well as managers from the Ministry of Sports and Youth. Data were collected through in-depth and semi-structured interviews, recorded both in audio and text formats. The information was analyzed using open and axial coding methods, employing the MaxQDA 2022 software. The reliability of the coding results was evaluated and confirmed using Cohen's Kappa method and open coding. The results of the research identified 7 main themes and 29 concept statements derived from a total of 105 initial statements, organized into concepts and main themes representing the indicators of professional ethics in the employees of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. Additionally, the study revealed three main themes: organizational effects, credibility and trust in sports organizations, and employee performance improvement, as the outcomes of professional ethics in the employees of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. According to the findings, the theme of justice and fairness, with an importance coefficient of 112, and professional responsibility, with an importance coefficient of 104, along with the theme of conflict of interest with an importance coefficient of 70, held the highest importance coefficients among the main themes. The effects of professional ethics on the employees of the Ministry of Sports and Youth include increasing employee morale, gaining organizational trust, enhancing organizational reputation, fostering passion and professional development, and improving satisfaction with the job and the organization. Additionally, it contributes to the stability and sustainability of the organization, demonstrating the positive impact of professional ethics on organizational outcomes.
