Abstract
Background: Volleyball in Iran, during the transition from amateur volleyball to professional volleyball, faces many challenges and injuries. Considering the importance of the role of ethics in the sport of volleyball, which is considered one of its main and central components, we find that players and clubs are facing many problems in this sport.
Purpose: The purpose of this research was to study the qualitative background pathology of focal factors in volleyball, which was conducted as a case study on professional coaches of volleyball leagues in the country.
Method: The research method is descriptive-analytical and qualitative research. Data collection was done using library resources, in-depth and semi-structured interviews. The statistical population included all the elites in the field of volleyball coaching and familiar with human capital issues, and 12 people were purposefully considered as samples. Open and axial coding, summarizing and filtering techniques were used to extract raw data.
Findings: The results showed that socio-cultural factors, factors related to human resources, economic factors, and managerial and organizational factors were among the injuries identified in the field related to the focal factors in volleyball.
Conclusion: In general, it can be concluded that background injuries are very important in volleyball. Therefore, in order to fix these injuries, more planning and efforts should be done than in the past so as not to cause deeper injuries to the players and spread to other behavioral and structural levels. Undoubtedly, the results obtained from the research can be considered as a beacon in the future plans of the volleyball federation, especially the committee and departments of this federation, and can be used in determining strategic policies to eliminate player injuries.
