Managing sports clubs is a complex task. To attract more customers, managers need to enhance their reputation within the community by offering innovative services and responding to customers’ needs and social characteristics. Accordingly, the present study aimed to examine the effect of perceived club reputation on customer loyalty, with a focus on the mediating roles of social status and image congruence in selected private women’s sports clubs in Tehran. In terms of its purpose, the study was applied in nature and employed a correlational design using a structural equation modeling approach.The study population consisted of customers of private women’s sports clubs in Tehran. The sample comprised 384 participants from 21 selected private clubs. To assess the adequacy of the sample size, an a priori power analysis was conducted using G*Power, assuming a medium effect size (f² = 0.15), a significance level of 0.05, a statistical power of 0.80, and three predictors. The final sample of 384 participants exceeded the minimum required sample size. Data were collected using questionnaires, with standardized instruments employed to measure each of the four study variables. The face and content validity, as well as the reliability, of the instruments were assessed and confirmed. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used for data analysis, with SPSS version 27 and SmartPLS 4 employed for statistical analyses. . The findings indicate that perceived credibility has a direct positive effect on customer loyalty. In addition, perceived credibility has an indirect and significant effect through the mediation of social status and image congruence, and increases customer loyalty. Therefore, private sports clubs in Tehran should focus on strengthening their credibility and benefit from new strategies and providing services based on customer demand in order to attract more customers
