The aim of this research was to identify and classify sports assistants based on role modeling in the system. This research was developmental-applied in terms of its purpose. Data collection was carried out in the first stage with semi-structured interviews. The number of interviews was based on theoretical saturation and the interviewees were selected in a non-probability and purposeful manner based on knowledge and experience, and finally theoretical saturation was achieved with 12 interviews. In the quantitative part, considering the number of faculty members in sports management disciplines and researchers in this field, it was estimated that about 300 people were recruited nationwide, and 169 questionnaires were analyzed according to the Cochran formula. Open codes along with axial codes were placed in the form of an aggregate model using structural equation modeling, and the results showed that the fit indices were favorable. The role of the components in the system was determined using structural-interpretive modeling, and the results showed that the structural component was the most influential component, and the talent discovery and marketing committee components were the most permeable components. Also, the sense of social cooperation was defined as a strategic component in the system. According to the results, it is recommended that officials develop an appropriate structure to attract sports assistants and also provide a suitable space for social interactions in that environment.
